I just tried an experiment: I deactivated Virtual Singer (closing curtains on stage) and started playback again. The Pitch Pipe note plays normally, but then complete silence from the Virtual Singer staves! Both from the audio output, and in the Mixer (implying that any attempt to Export Audio would fare similarly).
